Meet the Founder, Cory Benda

Cory Benda is a seasoned security professional passionate about empowering individuals and organizations to take charge of their safety. A 9-year Marine Corps veteran and former Air Traffic Controller, Cory’s expertise in strategic thinking and problem-solving led him to found HowSecure, a security consulting company designed to provide director-level expertise at a fraction of the cost. With a background that spans security roles at Spirit AeroSystems, Trinity Academy, and Bethel Church, Cory brings a unique perspective to security that focuses on building safety cultures rather than just systems. His approach is rooted in personal responsibility, emotional intelligence, and communication, empowering clients to create secure environments for their families, businesses, and communities.

Always learning, Cory is committed to continuous education, currently studying cybersecurity and information assurance, while always seeking new solutions to address the evolving challenges of today’s security landscape. His mission is to fill the gaps in security for those who need it most, with a heart for serving his community and creating lasting change.
